·         Baking Soda and Water: You can mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water and then drink it. Make sure you do not exceed 7.5 teaspoon doses in 24 hours.
·         Chewing Gum: Chewing sugar free gum for 30 minutes can largely help in warding off heartburn.
·         Ginger Root Tea: Take 3 quarter sized ginger root slices and simmer it in 2 cups of water for about 30 minutes. Remove the pieces of ginger and pour the mix into a glass. Drink it 20 minutes before the meal.
